Introduction:
The Siberian roe (Capreolus pygargus (Pallas, 1771) is a pairwise, mammal belonging to the deer family. Body length 100-135 cm, leg height 75-100 cm, weight 20-40 kg. The goat is hornless, the cub has 3-5 forked horns (25-40 cm), which fully mature in March - May and fall off in November - December. The tail is very short. The legs are thin and long. But the front leg becomes shorter than the hind leg, indicating that it is adapted to jumping. It walks well through ravines 5-6 meters wide. The plumage is dark gray in winter and red in summer, with light spots on the young. Its sense of smell is less than that of the Argali and Capricorn. Its auditory apparatus is well developed. This animal is also an excellent swimmer.

The roe does not have a first toe, which underwent reduction during evolution. The main outer hooves on the forelegs are slightly longer and sharper than the inner ones; on the hind legs, the hooves, both inner and outer, are the same. In males the foreleg tracks are rounded and impenetrable, in females they are oval and thin.
